Eau de Prince

Prince's perfume will come to life at the same time as the Live Earth Event.

To celebrate 2007 in style and further 3121, the latest album and Vegas club by the purple majesty, Prince will launch his fragrance 3121 on 07-07-2007 during his concert in Minneapolis.

The fragrance was created in full concert with the artist, resulting in an enticing scent that captures the essence of his eclectic style and music genius.

3121 is a white floral scent that opens with a refreshing sparkle of crisp ... bergamot, opulent jasmine and gardenia. Orange flower and muguet sensually intertwine with tuberose and ylang ylang, creating a subtle, mysterious blend; evolving into notes of patchouli and creamy sandalwood. Precious cedarwood and luxurious musks complement this sexy scent.

"The 3121 fragrance collection is the result of a shared vision to expand Prince's creative opportunities and avenues of expression," said Larry Couey, President of Revelations Perfume and Cosmetics.

The introduction of the 3121 fragrance will be the first of many products under the umbrella of the 3121 brand. The 3121 Perfume collection will simultaneously debut at select Macy's stores. Prince and Revelations Perfumes will donate 7 percent of the sales to 7 selected charities.

The 30 ml bottle of Eau de Parfum sells for $31.21, quite affordable, I'm tempted to try it.END

Hall and Oates hook up with Bobby Eli

Daryl Hall and John Oates are set to guest and write a new song on the forthcoming "Philly Tenors" cd produced by Bobby Eli.

Eli produced Atlantic Starr and MFSB in the 70s among countless others. He last produced the Soulful Tale of Two Cities project double CD in which Motown artists reprised Philly Hits and artists from the city of brotherly love took on Motown classics.

"The Average White Band and super sax man Kim Waters have blessed the project with spectacular ... performances" says Eli.

Eli just started producing George Clinton's latest which promises to be somewhat of a departure for the funkmaster.

"Philly Tenors" is slated for release this coming September 2007.END

Hip hop is dead, numbers are in

It's official! Expect to see less and less of bum rappers flashin' their rented cars and borrowed villas, faux pimps and ho's, pole strippin' and all on TV and radio.

Hip-hop will have to go back to its roots to survive and its pioneers are all for it.

The rumors have been swirling since last year, the numbers are now there to prove it.

Even kids are tired of the genre, hip-hop is not cool anymore but don't tell that to the music moguls... , they'll suck hip-hop dry as long as they can, hip hop on the mainstream lived so long only cause it was oh so profitable.

USA Today has published an in-depth article complete with record sales numbers.

"Who killed hip-hop" also on USA Today

Classic hip-hop (re:1979-1996) will evidently gain a new following, generation "Y" are discovering that there's more to the genre than what they've been accustomed to in the last 5-10 years.END
